    THE ESTATE OF JAMES LANGFORD STACK

    Featuring the estate of James Langford Stack Jr. the brother of the well known actor Robert Stack. In 1929 the Stack family purchased the Polo Lodge, an eight acre estate located on the shores of Crystal Bay Lake Tahoe. Mr. Stack, who was born in 1916, recently passed away and the entire contents of the lodge as well as his personal property will be on the auction block. The lodge was furnished in the 1930's with rustic furniture from the famous Old Hickory Furniture Company. We have dressers, dining tables and chairs, bedroom sets as well as animal mounts and rugs. His personal items include a Patek Phillippe 18kt watch, Baume and Mercier 18kt watch, Fried-Krupp A. G. Essen highly engraved shotgun, a rare Monterey Furniture Co. Brambach grand piano, Monterey armchair,lamps and trunk and his camera and book collections.

    The highlight of the auction was the rare Monterey piano which fetched $35,000 and drew bidding from all over the country.



    THE ENTIRE CONTENTS OF THE LIBERTY BELLE SALOON IN RENO NEVADA!

    Opened in 1958 the Liberty Belle was owned by the Fey Brothers, Marshall and Frank. Their Grandfather invented the slot machine and they had built a large collection of high quality antique slot machines and other antiques. The main collection of slots were sold at the Convention Center on July 8th by the VCA Auction Company assisted by us. Then on July 22nd we sold the remaining items and architectural details. These photos are a sample of this second auction.

    The Casino has been converted to luxury condominiums. We auctioned off the entire contents of the building from the rooms to the slot machines to prepare for the conversion. The auction was held over a several week period and required 5 separate auctions as well as the coordination of the removal of the sold items.



    The 32 year collection of Sharkey Begovich of Sharkeys Nugget fame in Gardnerville.
